THE FRIENDS PROGRAM RECEIVES $10,000 LINCOLN FINANCIAL FOUNDATION GRANT
CONCORD, N.H. – The Friends Program has received a $10,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation to provide shelter to homeless N.H. families.

Since 1980, the Friends Program has operated its emergency shelter, providing 24-hour, seven-day-a-week support to families. The Friends Emergency Housing Program provides intensive, community-based case management and short-term housing. The goal of the program is to transition homeless families into permanent dwellings.

“The Friends Program’s family shelter is an important component of a comprehensive approach to fighting homelessness in Greater Concord,” said Byron Champlin, program officer for Lincoln Financial Foundation. “Their shelter is a portal to permanent housing for families in need and the first step toward normal lives for children and adults.”

The Lincoln Financial Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Lincoln Financial Group, believes in empowering people to live greater lives, which advances culture and empowers greater positive change. Its grant is part of Lincoln Financial’s annual $10 million investment in its local communities’ youth education, economic and workforce development, human well-being and arts programs.
