On November 18th the Friends Program received a 2012 Spirit of New Hampshire  “Volunteer Champion Award”

This award was in acknowledgment of our exemplary contributions to volunteerism and the betterment of life in New Hampshire. This is an agency award and is testament to the dedication and commitment of ALL of our staff.

Additionally, one of our long time Foster Grandparents, Mable Van Patten, received a prestigious “Outstanding Service Award” in the adult category this being one of three Outstanding Service Awards given out. When her biography was read the audience gave her a well deserved standing ovation. Mable is a remarkable woman and a fantastic representative of the Foster Grandparent Program and the Friends Program. Additional proof of Mable’s connection to her school was that more than a dozen friends and coworkers from the Hampstead Central School attended the event to honor her.
