15th Annual Auction Raises over $80k to Benefit Youth Mentoring (March 2014)

centerpieceThe Friends Program is grateful for the  hundreds of event attendees, item donors, and sponsors who made the Friends Program's 15th Annual Charity Auction a success.The May 2 fundraiser netted over $80,000 to support Friends Youth Mentoring, whose 150 volunteers contribute 13,000 annual service hours to support local young people. The Friends Program appreciates the continued generosity of the community, and we thank you personally for helping raise so much to support such a worthy cause.

Merrimack County Savings Bank was the lead event sponsor. Key auction sponsors include Sulloway & Hollis, Concord Imaging Center, Concord Orthopaedics, Keystone Management Company, FairPoint Communications, PretiFlaherty, Sanel Auto Parts, Shaheen & Gordon, and Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.

The Friends Program is a non-profit agency that recruits, trains, and manages volunteers to meet community needs. Its mission is to strengthen communities by building relationships that empower people, encourage community service, and restore faith in the human spirit. The Friends Program accomplishes this mission by providing youth mentoring, emergency housing for families, and fulfilling the need of seniors and retired people to actively contribute to the community.
