Congratualtions to Rockingham Country RSVP Volunteers (Nov 2016)

Congratulations to the Friends RSVP volunteers from Rockingham County who were awarded Spirit of NH Volunteer awards this Fall.

Estelle O’Donnell and Lorraine Hernandez, RSVP volunteers for Greater Salem Caregivers, have 25 years of combined volunteering to support the homebound in the Salem area.  Greater Salem Caregivers’ mission is “Neighbor reaching out to Neighbor,”  Both Estelle and Lorraine personify that mission.

Congratulations also to Arlene Bassett, Sue Depouy, Louise Chartier and Betty Corriea, RSVP volunteers who run the Sandown Food Pantry.  Not only does the Food Pantry serve about 50 people each week, the volunteers also put out 60 turkey dinners for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with purchasing and distributing presents to children through their “Giving Trees.”  With the tireless effort of  volunteers, the food pantry has been helping the people of Sandown for close to 50 years.
