The Friends Program celebrate the contributions of our remarkable volunteers. We annually marshal a corp of more than 800 volunteers who devote themselves to helping others. James S. Doremus Award
This award is given in honor of longtime Friends Program Executive Director Jim Doremus. Jim served the Friends Program for 22 years. In honor of his dedication, the Board of Trustees in 2008 elected to present this annual award in his name. The James S. Doremus award is given to someone that has provided long-term volunteer service to the Friends Program, valuable contributions or may have worked to serve the organization.
